_Nexus Technology is an all-volunteer non-profit mission based in Greensboro, NC. We have worked with non-profits of various sizes and missions on everything from technology planning, to systems development and deployment, to management consulting. Our current focus is on providing and maintaining student laptops to a public school classroom at Erwin Montessori Elementary in Guilford County, NC (more about Erwin). The objective is to help the teachers and students there experiment with and discover the most effective role of student-use technology in today's world. We have succeeded in equipping the classroom with a class set of laptops and a high speed wireless Internet access. These machines are being used by students on a daily basis and are having a significant positive impact on student achievement. As the first laptops were purchased nearly four years ago, our current focus is on providing for replacements.
